- Metung Farmers' Market - Every 2nd Saturday of the month from 8:30am to 12:30pm at the Metung Village Green
- Metung Markets - Every 4th Saturday of the month from 8:30am to 2pm at the Metung Primary School Oval
- Metung Fun Run - Annual event held in January. Includes 8km run, 4km run/walk, and a kids' dash. Proceeds go towards the Metung Lions Club and community projects
- Metung Bowls Club Carnival - Annual event held in February. Includes bowls competition, live music, and entertainment
- Metung Maritime Museum Open Day - Held in March. Free entry to museum with displays of historical maritime items and boats
- Metung Yacht Club Sailing Day - Every Saturday from October to April. Includes sailing races and events for members and visitors
- Metung Art Show - Annual event held in April. Features works by local artists in various mediums including painting, sculpture, and photography
- Metung Village Green Car Boot Sale - Every 3rd Saturday of the month from 8am to 1pm. Community members sell second-hand goods and crafts
- Metung Christmas Carols - Held in December. Community members gather for a night of Christmas carols and festivities on the Metung Village Green

Metung Event Features
